March
Highlights
The
end of the month brought me to my college reunion. I met up
with 8 of my college friends on our once a year reunion. We
met in Mystic, CT. this year and made a night of it at the Mohegan
Sun Casino. It almost felt like Vegas
ALMOST!!!! It was
a nice weekend and a great end to my month
REPORT
FROM THE 2006 ARNOLD
ARNOLD CLASSIC
- Columbus Ohio. As usual it was a full weekend with lots of
work and play. I helped out Tony Freeman with his color but
mostly, I was in the PROTAN booth during the expo hours. I did
get a break to go watch Womens' BB on Friday. The women looked
big and hard. In my opinion, there was no 20% less muscularity!
The biggest, hardest women definitely got the nod and the reward.
There were no weight classes and all top 5 but one were the
original "heavyweights". Congratulations and much
respect go out to all the girls. They were superb athletes,
all of them. Friday night was "girls' night out" and
was a blast, hanging with the ladies at the host hotel, having
drinks and taking pictures!!!
I
must shout out to Danielle Hollenshade who looked
beautiful in her pro debut.
You can see more of her at her website at www.daniellehollenshade.com |

It really was very exciting to see friends up on the stage at
the Arnold Classic!!
On Saturday I was
invited to dinner at Mortons with the Hardbodies Entertainment
group. Mr. Fred Berger was nice enough to have me as his guest
for a wonderful meal and then gave me front row tickets to the
men's night show!!!
 |
The
big treat was that I was sitting right in front of Lee
Haney and his family. He received a lifetime achievement
award and I managed a great picture with him! What an icon!! |
I must give a shout
out to Tony Freeman for looking so beautiful and also reaching
an amazing peak!!! Good job!!
Saturday night had us all at the "after party". It
was a good scene as there was only one after party so everyone
seemed to be there. There was lots of dancing and socializing
with whoever we hadn't already seen!! I think it was the most
fun I have had in awhile at one of those things!!!
Sunday was more booth
work. It was awesome seeing many fans and friends who stopped
by to say hi!! Many of the peeps from Muscle Mayhem as well
as new pros and top level amateurs were in attendance saying
"What's up!". Big Bill Wilmore was in the Vyotech
booth looking very large!!! He has officially hired me to do
his contest prep work at his pro debut in Colorado on 5/13!!!
Can't wait to see him battle it out with the pros!!!
| All
in all, it was a great weekend and a great start to the
season. |

RECIPE
OF THE MONTH
Try this great low fat breakfast to jump start your morning!
Salotti's Protein Pancakes
1 serving
Approx 26 -30 g protein, 27 g complex carbs
(I make 2 servings and eat one of them cold right out of the
Tupperware!!!)
|
1
whole egg and 5 whites
(or ½ Cup Lana's eggwhites)
½ Cup instant oatmeal
½ Cup non-fat cottage cheese
3 TBS. sugar free syrup (caramel is my favorite)
2-3 packets of Splenda
|
Mix
in bowl (can also blend in blender, will make it a very
fine consistency
(I like it chunky!))
If very watery can add ½ -1 scoop of protein powder.
Drop onto heated fry pan (sprayed with butter flavor Pam)
to make pancakes.
Turn once browned.
Serve warm with fresh fruit or plain.
