WECOME TO 2006 !!
January is a bit of
a low key month for bodybuilding in general.
For me it has been
especially so.
I think with competing
so late in the season and then the holidays coming, January has
been a time of TOTAL REST, for me !!!

FIT TIP
Rest
does the body good. As bodybuilders, we tend to never want to
take a break from the gym. Overtraining can be one of the biggest
issues in not being able to make gains like we want. The body
only grows during rest. We have to remember that in the gym
or dojo or bike path, wherever, we are BREAKING our muscle apart.
The REPAIR is what causes the GROWTH! We repair when we REST/SLEEP.
Especially after competing, the body is very worn down. That
is the time when proper nutrition and rest is crucial to growth!!
Force yourself to take a break from training. Stay out of the
gym a good 1-2 weeks. Let the mind and body relax. You will
be amazed at the gains you see and the motivation you feel when
you get back in the gym!!!

APPEARANCES
FOR 2006
I AM DEVELOPING MY SCHEDULE FOR 2006 AND IT WILL
BE UPDATED ON THE SITE SHORTLY.
This schedule
may change quite a bit throughout the year as things come up so
check often.
I have confirmed
that I will be traveling to the Pro Ironman in California for
2/17-19th. I am very excited to go. I have never been to the Ironman
and my friend Dave Henry will be competing and I have never been
to southern California.

I will be staying
a few extra days to take in the sites. Me and Nicki will be hanging
out in Venice/Santa Monica for a couple days checking things out!!!
I CAN"T WAIT!

Carla's 2006 Goals
I
plan on hitting the gym full force by 2/1/06. I have already been
doing cardio daily (sometimes doubles to work on those extra holiday
goodies!). I will be training my usually 4-5 day split.
I also plan to get back on a structured eating plan full of clean
food (at least during the week days!)
I
would love to hear what goals you have all set for yourself.
